2021 Brisbane Metropolitan Relay Championships

Meet Date: 7 November 2021

Entries are now closed

The Relay Championships offer the unique opportunity for the program to be on display and our athletes to shine as a team.

It is our intention to support entering the MAXIMUM number of teams.
However, we will be unable to guarantee everyone will get a swim

Session 1 - 8-11yrs 8:00am-12:00pm

Session 2 - 12yrs and over 12:00pm-4:00pm

Volunteers and Timekeeping

For the effective running of local swimming meets, it is common practice for clubs to allocate timing duties to visiting Clubs – there is a Club timekeeping roster at the link below.

It is not my preference to begin creating MBS parent timekeeping rosters, as I believe common courtesy can prevail, whereby by each parent will do their best to ensure there is an even distribution of MBS parent effort.

We will require THREE timekeepers in total - rotating as per outline below;

ONE timekeeper 12:15pm to 1:15pm

ONE timekeeper 1:15pm to 2:00pm

ONE timekeeper 2:00pm to 2:45pm

Dear Clubs and Members, We hope you're all excited about the 2021 Brisbane Metropolitan Relay Championships this Sunday. Please find below the link to download a copy of the online program. The online program includes the key information all attendees need to be aware of to ensure the event can run smoothly under the current COVID-19 restrictions; with ticketing and mask details also outlined below. TICKETING All swimmers and spectators require a self-obtained, pre-purchased Ticketbooth ticket to a specific seat in a certain row and section of the grandstand (e.g. Section 1 Upper, Row A, Seat 12); tickets for competing swimmers are free while spectator tickets are $7 (plus fees). Ticketed seats must be used during the event, regardless if other seats are vacant. Who needs a Ticketbooth ticket?

  • Competing swimmers,
  • Reserve swimmers (if attending on the day),
  • Club/Team Managers,
  • Spectators, and
  • Coaches (who would like to sit in the grandstand).

Please note, if you need to update ticket holder details at a later stage this can be done by logging in to Ticketbooth, for help click here.

MASKS

All attendees are required to carry a mask and wear their mask when unable to maintain 1.5m physical distancing, both indoors and outdoors.  Masks must be worn in the marshalling area as physical distancing will be difficult to maintain here. ARRIVAL PROCESS ON THE DAY

All competing swimmers and spectators will be required to present their Ticketbooth ticket to staff at the front entry (under the marquees located centrally in front of the grandstand entrance). Tickets will be scanned and a wristband will be provided to spectators and a stamp to competing swimmers; these must be shown to staff stationed at the individual grandstand entrances.

Coaches and Technical Officials will be required to present to the front entry to gain a pool deck stamp. Please note, any coaches who do wish to use a seat in the grandstand must self-obtain a ticket from Ticketbooth.

All attendees must also check in using the Check In Qld app after they pass through the front entry using the QR codes provided.

The front entry will open from 7:00am, but we do ask attendees to arrive at a time appropriate for their events.
